About me

I am Kama, a therapist, creative, and gentle guide for space holders who give so much to others. You hold space for everyone else, I support you.

Alongside my professional training in counselling, creative therapy, and dance movement therapy, I bring 40+ years of lived experience: moving across countries, navigating divorce, shifting careers, and experiencing burnout more than once. I know what it feels like to hold space for everyone else and forget yourself in the process.

This is why the Bring a Cuppa space is calm, honest, and supportive. I don’t believe in scare tactics or rigid formulas. I believe in slowing down, listening deeply, and finding rhythms that feel true to you.

I bring a touch of playfulness and creativity into my sessions, because growth doesn’t have to be heavy. It can be light, nourishing, and even joyful.

I have always had a brain buzzing with endless creative ideas, fueled by my favourite word, curiosity. As a young child, I dreamed of being a fairy in a forest, and as a teenager I wanted to be a florist. I love flowers, tea, and gentle rituals that help life feel softer and more joyful.

Why Bring a Cuppa?

When I was going through my divorce, I just wanted someone to make me a cup of tea and chat with me. When I was healing I wanted to tell my story over a cup of tea. As the years have gone by I have often reflected on how often what we need is the simplicity, the cuppa, the chat, the connection. This is what Bring a Cuppa is all about, bringing it back to basics.

When I wrote my book The Happy Migrant in 2011 someone said reading the book was like sitting with a friend over a cup of tea (isn't that lovely).

Add to this that I am from England, where it is a well known fact that tea cures everything, and it just seemed natural to offer therapy with a cuppa.
